THE WAY OF THE LORD from Abrahamkutty George's blog

Isaiah{40:3} The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

1.            Isaiah prophesied about whom?

2.            Who is crying?

3.            Voice of whom?

4.            Way for whom?

5.            Highway for whom?

1.            John the Baptist

2.            John the Baptist

3.            John the Baptist

4.            LORD

5.            GOD

Isaiah’s Prophesy fulfilled by the following scriptures, see below:

John{1:21} And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No. {1:22} Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself? {1:23} He said, I [am] the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

Now, let’s see, John prepared the way for whom?

John{1:23} He said, I [am] the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.{1:26} John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; {1:27} He it is, who coming after me ispreferred before me, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose.  1:28} These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing. {1:29} The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him,  andsaith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. {1:30} This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. {1:31} And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing

with water.

So, it is crystal clear that John the Baptist cried to the people and prepared the way for Jesus.  See the scripture given below:

John{1:29}The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. That means,Jesus is LORD and GOD.

Let’s see the statement of St. Thomas and what he said looking at Jesus?

John{20:26} And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: [then] came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace [be] unto you. {20:27} Thensaith he to Thomas, reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust [it] into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. {20:28} And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

Thomasis saying that Jesus is his LORD and GOD.This proves that Jesus is LORD and GOD.

If Jesus was not LORD and GOD, He would have corrected Thomas and said, “Thomas, don’t call me that. I am not Lord and God, I am a Son only. There are another 2 separate persons there”. Jesus never corrected Thomas’ statement. So, it is understood that, Jesus Himself is Lord and God.

What is St. Paul saying about Jesus?

Acts{9:3} And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: {9:4} And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? {9:5} And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest:

Paul asked, “Who art thou, Lord?” Who was the God of Paul?  Paul was very zealous about OT and considered Jehovah his LORD and GOD. Now, Jesus is saying, I am Jesus, whom thou persecutest. This means thatJesus is LORD and GOD of the OT.

What’s Jesus’ statement about the Father?

John{10:30} I and [my] Father are one.

John {14:7} If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and fromhenceforth ye know him, and have seen him. {14:8} Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.  {14:9} Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then,]Shew us the Father?

Jesus Himself said, “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then,] Shew us the Father?”Jesus could not show Philip and His disciples a separate Father, onlyHimself (Jesus). He said that those who have seen me (Jesus)have seen the Father (Jesus) also. No separate Father for Jesus to show.

Now, is there any problem fortrinitarians to believe the above facts and figures? Or still theywould foolishly argue that Father and Son are 2different persons? Or still they argue for trinity (3 different persons)?

If so, they are perfectly fit in the following scriptures, in accordance with what the Holy Bible says about them.

Jeremiah{14:14} Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart. {14:15} Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not,

2 Tim{3:4} Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; {3:5} Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. {3:6} For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, {3:7}  Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. {3:8} Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

2 Peter{2:1} But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denyingthe Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. {2:2} And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. {2:3} And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Romans{16:17} Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. {16:18} For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts ofthe simple.

Acts{15:24} Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls,

2 Cor{4:3} But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

2 Thes{1:7} And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, {1:8} In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: {1:9} Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

Galatians {1:8} But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. {1:9} As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
