Note when Paul was commanded to be baptised:

Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Many false preachers (accursed of God) teach that baptism is merely "An outward profession of inward faith" or some such nonsense...  It is a lie from the very pits of hell, a trick of the devil to keep people in their sins. Water baptism is the re-birth of Water referred to in John 3:5.

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:41  Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added [unto them] about three thousand souls.

Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

Acts 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

Acts 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Acts 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

Acts 19:5 When they heard [this], they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

They knew that to believe on Jesus included being baptized in Jesus Name. (The trinity was not invented until many years later.)

Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

** Sins are washed away in Jesus' name baptism **

Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus

Christ were baptized into his death?

Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Those of you who have not been baptized in Jesus Name have NOT put on Christ and are still in your sins.

I hope this helps...

A person who has not been water baptized in Jesus Name is not covered by the Blood of Jesus.

A person who has not been baptized in Jesus Name is dead in their sins, and here's what the Bible says about such people:
John 9:31- Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

God does hear the prayer of the sinner, otherwise none of us would be Christians now.

I was, of course, referring to the unsaved person with no interest in obeying the instructions of Christ Jesus; either in becoming a Christian or the subsequent lifestyle change that comes as a result of such action.
