If you are wondering why the KJV is basically the only Bible you should have I hope this will answer your concerns. Every time I have ever used a lexicon to look up the original word from the KJV it was translated into English correctly.

The KJV cannot be copyrighted. To secure a copyright on a written work one must have a unique work. That is to say that it must be significantly different than any previous work.

So, friend, all of those new fancy copyrighted bibles like NIV etc. and etc. had to be SIGNIFICANTLY different from the original Bible in order to be copyrighted. This was done for money. I don't say that money is bad, but changing the Bible in order to make money is bad. Bad Bible changer BAD! BAD! BAD! SHAME ON YOU BAD BIBLE CHANGER.. (ahem, excuse me for getting carried away there...)

Some of you may be aware that the Bible has some rather strong recommendations regarding not changing its content and are also aware that there is a verse about the love of money.

Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

1Tim 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

In summary men have ignored the recommendations of the Bible and made new DIFFERENT bibles in order to make money and for other less honorable reasons that I won't go into at this time.
