FATHER, SON and HOLYGHOST ! (Serious misunderstanding amongst Christendom)
What is Father, Son and Holyghost?
Yes, this is a very reasonable question.
Let me explain, according to the Holy Bible.
When we say God, God is a Spirit. Invisible, indivisible, no flesh, no blood, no bones.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Because, the God created everything, visible and invisible of the universe, he become "Father", means, God is creator. Ok
This Father God in OT is Lord or Jehovah. See scripture below:
Isaiah 63:16
Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our Father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.
Isaiah 64:8
But now, O LORD, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
Ok . You understood now, God is Father.
This same Father God, when the fullness of time come, came to this world as "Son", Jesus, Emmanuel- God with us. Right ?
See scripture below:
1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
See, God was manifest in "flesh ", means, Jesus is the manifestation of God, the Father.
Ok. Right.
This Flesh "Jesus" himself said, He, (Son-Jesus), and Father are One.
See scriptures:
John 14:8
Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
14:9
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
John 10:30
I and my Father are one.
This Flesh form of God, Jesus was on earth about 33.5 years, shed his blood on Calvary to save the sinners, because, there is no remission of sins, without a bloodshed.
See scripture:
Hebrews 9:22
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission of sins.
So, the sinless God, Creator or Father, for remitting the sins of humanity, manifested in flesh, for shedding the sinless blood. God cannot commit sin, but for the humanity's Salvation, he became a sinner, died for you and I.
He resurrected on the third day. This same Jesus, ascended to heaven, promised us that, He will be with us, till the end of the world, as Holy Spirit.
See scriptures below:
Matthew 28:20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Is Jesus with us physically? No.
By Holy Spirit, He dwells with (in) us.
John 14:17
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
See, the Spirit of truth, dwell with Disciples, which the world cannot see Him as Holy Spirit, but the Disciples knows, Jesus is the Spirit of truth. This Spirit shall be in them.
When this Holy spirit or Holyghost came inside them?
On the day of Pentecost. Right? See the scriptures:
Acts 2:1
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2:2
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
2:3
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
2:4
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
This Holyghost or Jesus Christ in Spirit form dwelling in us and lead His Church.
Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Therefore, to sum up:
The God of OT, FATHER GOD, JEHOVAH, CAME TO THIS WORLD AS SON, JESUS, DIED FOR HUMANITY OF THE WORLD AND RESURRECTED FOREVER AND REGAINED THE ORIGINAL POWER OF GOD.
I hope I have explained in simple way to understand, what is Father, Son and Holyghost.
Not three (3) Gods, as trinitarians, but One God's three titles, in related to humanity.
May God bless you.
"Many" so called Christians will tell Jesus at the time of judgement:
Matthew 7:22
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Jesus is going to tell "many people" of this world (majority of the people), "I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity".
Then, Jesus will reply as following:
Matthew 7:23
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Matthew 7:13
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
("Many" go through broadway to destruction)
However, Jesus will tell to His "few" (minority of the people) :
Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Matthew 7:14
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
("Few" go through the narrow way, that find life)
