Jesus is the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost

The following, with prayer was able to help someone to understand why there is no contradition between Jesus in Matt 28:19 and Peter in Acts 2:18 so I felt to share it here.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Jesus is the NAME of the Father.  Jesus is the Name of the Son.  Jesus is the Name of the Holy Ghost (the Spirit of Christ)

There is no contradiction just a lot of misunderstanding.  The Apostles always baptized in Jesus Name.  It is the only saving name.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

It is the way that sins are washed away and is part of the New Birth.

Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

To obey Jesus you must know the name.  That is a stumbling block for polytheists.

Jesus is the NAME of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.  Not a problem for those who believe that Jesus is God.
