Just a quick Bible study for you.

Matthew Mark Luke and John are are history of the time before the Church had begun. There were NO Christians yet because Jesus had not died and resurrected. The Upper Room event had not yet occurred and the Holy Ghost had not yet been given.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

Still no Church yet as Jesus told them that they would receive the Holy Ghost (future tense).

So that means if a preacher has taken you to Matthew Mark Luke or John to teach you the plan of salvation then your preacher is one lying devil deceiving souls into hell and his ignorance is no excuse. As an aside I believe you will not find any example in the Word of God where God accepted any excuse for anything. You will find Him accepting many apologies but NEVER any excuses.

Then in Acts Chapter 2 we find people receiving the Holy Ghost speaking in other tongues including Mary the mother of Jesus.

Acts 1:13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Then in Acts 2:38 the salvation message for all that God will call was preached!

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

It is important to be aware that the epistles like Romans Corinthians etc were LETTERS to people who had already obeyed Acts 2:38 to become Christians.

Romans 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:

See?  Romans is a letter to people who had already become Christians!

So that means if a preacher has taken you to the Pauline epistles like Romans or Corinthians etc. to teach you the plan of salvation then your preacher is one lying devil deceiving souls into hell and his ignorance is no excuse. I know how false-christians love their false preachers but there are eternal consequences to being deceived. Not only will you be damned for eternity in a Lake of Fire you will suffer embarrassment of paying good money to get there.

II Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Also I feel to warn that there is a line that can be crossed where God simply says ENOUGH!

II Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

So if you find this truth uncomfortable or embarrassing I encourage you to be honest with yourself and God.
